We are a small Wildlife Observation Station located about a 10 minute drive from San Ignacio, Belize.
We offer 2 Private Rooms, 4 bunk rooms, a Private Cabana and Camping Grounds.
Our Dining / Lecture area seats 20+ people, we also have a large Tree House Deck and Fire Ring.
Our 2 Private Rooms are located upstairs and accommodate 2 persons each, there is a shared bathroom with flush toilet and hot shower / bath. Private rooms are available for professors, researchers, couples, or individuals at a different rate when available.
Our 4 Bunk Rooms have 4 bunks each. Ideal for student groups, families and backpackers. There are shared outhouses and cool water showers for people staying in the bunk rooms and camp ground. Prices are based on the number of beds used.
The Tree House Deck and Fire Ring are shared areas. As is the Dining Hall.
Here at La Primavera Wildlife Observation Station, we also have a Howler Monkey Habitat with over 30 monkeys, and you can usually see some of them from our Tree House Deck. There are also lots of local tours available including River Trips, Mayan Ruins, Caves and Zip Lining.
Our main kitchen is not available for guest use. It is operated by our staff only. However, The Private Cabana has it’s own Guest Kitchen for those staying in the Cabana.
Limited WiFi is available at The Main Station.
We are solar Powered and provide our own water for bathing and drinking. A backup generator is in place in case of low power. Charging stations are provided for phones and computers.
Quite time is in effect at 10 pm. Check Out time is 12 noon.
Pets are allowed as long as the owner is responsible for all incidents concerning destruction of property or injury to others.
Smoking is allowed in designated areas, not in any of the rooms.
Interaction With Guests:
We are at your disposal as often as possible for any questions you may have. We enjoy interacting with and getting to know our guests.
Note that at times, private room guests are also present. We ask that Student Groups please show common courtesy if they are not a part of your group.
Our neighborhood is mostly Rainforest, (100s of acres), with a few farmers as neighbors. Our 45 acres is full of Nature Trails that are great for Hiking and Birding. We also offer guided Nature Walks.
Our newly planted 5 acre Cacao orchard is currently off limits to guests until the trees mature.
It is a 1 and a half mile walk to the George Price Hwy. From there, buses and taxis run regularly between Benque Viejo Del Carmen and San Ignacio and on to the capital city of Belmopan.
There is also the new San Ignacio Airport nearby for easy access to the rest of Belize and the Goldson International Airport through either Tropic Air or Maya Island Air. Front door Taxi service is also available, as well as Airport Transfers.
The Cayo district is the most beautiful part of mainland Belize. We are surrounded by Ruins, Caves, Rivers, and many activities and tours. All are close at hand. From horseback riding to zip lines, there is something for you.
